About the tides at Sunny Isles
Sunny Isles has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Government Cut, Miami Harbor Entrance. Water here rises and falls only about 1.8 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 2.4 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 1.2 ft, on October 19. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 2.6 ft on September 29 and bottom out at −0.6 ft on January 23.
