About the tides at Government Cut

Government Cut has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The average range is about 2.3 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.4 ft on September 29, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 23.
