Tacoma has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. With a mean range of about 8.1 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 11.8 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 13.0 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 7.1 ft, on October 11.
