About the tides at Tacoma Narrows Bridge

Tacoma Narrows Bridge has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Seattle, Puget Sound. With a mean range of about 8.5 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 14.5 ft on January 25 and bottom out at −4.0 ft on December 24.
