About the tides at Tesoro Marine Terminal

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. Water here rises and falls only about 0.4 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Louisiana stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 0.7 ft, comes on October 27, and the smallest, 0.3 ft, on October 22. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 1.9 ft on May 8 and bottom out at −1.0 ft on September 30.
