About the tides at Thomas Point Shoal Light

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The mean range is small, about 0.8 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Maryland stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 1.4 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 0.6 ft.
