About the tides at Toledo

Toledo has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Crescent City, Pacific Ocean. The range is large, about 6.9 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 8.8 ft. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 10.1 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 4.0 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 11.5 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −2.3 ft on June 6.

Toledo is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Crescent City, Pacific Ocean: highs come about 62 min and lows about 77 min later than there.
