About the tides at Trident Bay

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.8 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. On a typical day the water moves about 3.2 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.1 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 5.9 ft, comes on October 27, and the smallest, 2.6 ft, on Thursday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 6.1 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −1.6 ft on July 3.
