About the tides at Tuckahoe

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. On a typical day the water moves about 3.4 ft between high and low. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.9 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 4.3 ft, comes on Monday, and the smallest, 3.0 ft, on October 19. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 5.0 ft on November 26 and bottom out at −0.3 ft on January 23.
