About the tides at Wainwright Basin

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.62 m, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The tide range here is very large, about 3.34 m on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most British Columbia stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 4.77 m. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 2.49 m.
