About the tides at Wolf Bay
Tides at Wolf Bay are mostly diurnal: one rise and one fall a day, with a slow change between them. Water here rises and falls only about 0.8 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Alabama stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.1 ft, comes on Friday, and the smallest, 0.2 ft, on October 8.
Predictions for Wolf Bay come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here from 1994 to 2021 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Arnica Bay, 6 mi away, where high tide comes about 20 min earlier.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
