About the tides at Woodland Beach

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.7 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Reedy Point, C&d Canal. With a mean range of about 5.6 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.8 ft, comes on October 27, and the smallest, 5.2 ft, today. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 7.4 ft on August 2 and bottom out at −0.9 ft on January 24.
