About the tides at 2.5 miles above mouth

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Little Satilla River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Fernandina Beach, Amelia River. The range is large, about 6.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 8.7 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −1.7 ft on January 23.

2.5 miles above mouth is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Fernandina Beach, Amelia River: highs come about 4 min earlier and lows about 31 min later than there. The nearest other station is Jointer Island, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 15 min later. For tidal currents, see Brunswick River, off Quarantine Dock.

Predictions are based on Fernandina Beach, Amelia River.
