About the tides at Jointer Island
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Jointer Is. Jointer Creek, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Fernandina Beach, Amelia River. The range is large, about 6.8 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 9.2 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −1.8 ft on January 23.
Jointer Island is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Fernandina Beach, Amelia River: highs come about 11 min and lows about 31 min later than there. The nearest other station is 2.5 miles above mouth, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 15 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Brunswick River Bridge, southeast of.
Predictions are based on Fernandina Beach, Amelia River.
