About the tides at 3 miles above A1A highway bridge
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Loxahatchee River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Miami Beach, Government Cut. The mean range is small, about 1.9 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.2 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.0 ft on September 30, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on January 23.
3 miles above A1A highway bridge is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Miami Beach, Government Cut: highs come about 56 min and lows about 109 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1972 to 1973 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is North Fork, 2 miles above entrance, 0.9 mi away, where high tide comes about 8 min later.
Predictions are based on Miami Beach, Government Cut.
