About the tides at Albergottie Creek
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Salt Creek at Rt. 21, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. With a mean range of about 7.0 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 8.7 ft on October 27 and bottom out at −0.8 ft on January 23.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. NOAA measured the tide here from 1977 to 1979 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Marine Corps Air Station, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 21 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Brickyard Creek.
Predictions are based on Fort Pulaski, Savannah River.
