About the tides at Brickyard Point
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Coosaw River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River Entrance. With a mean range of about 7.3 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 8.9 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 5.6 ft, on October 19. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 9.6 ft on October 27 and bottom out at −1.7 ft on January 23.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River Entrance, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Air Station Beaufort, 0.6 mi away, where high tide comes about 20 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Brickyard Creek.
Predictions are based on Fort Pulaski, Savannah River Entrance.
