Ape Hole Creek has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. The average range is about 2.2 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Maryland stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 2.9 ft.
