About the tides at Sitka

Sitka has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. With a mean range of about 7.7 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 9.9 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 11.9 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 5.7 ft, on Friday.
