About the tides at Beauty Bay
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Seward, Resurrection Bay. The range is large, about 8.7 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 16.3 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 5.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 14.8 ft on November 25, and the lowest is −3.3 ft on July 5.
Beauty Bay is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Seward, Resurrection Bay: highs come about 12 min and lows about 14 min later than there. The nearest other station is Nuka Passage, 8 mi away.
Predictions are based on Seward, Resurrection Bay.
