About the tides at Nuka Passage

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Seward, Resurrection Bay. The range is large, about 9.1 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 14.1 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 5.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 14.9 ft on November 25, and the lowest is −3.3 ft on July 5.

Nuka Passage is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Seward, Resurrection Bay: highs come about 11 min and lows about 12 min later than there. The nearest other station is Beauty Bay, 8 mi away.
