About the tides at Ben Sawyer Bridge

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.7 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at CHARLESTON (Customhouse Wharf). With a mean range of about 5.0 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.6 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.1 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 5.3 ft, on Sunday.
