About the tides at Bethel

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. On a typical day the water moves about 2.4 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.7 ft. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 5.1 ft on June 6 and bottom out at −1.0 ft on January 21.
