About the tides at Brant Rock
Brant Rock has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. With a mean range of about 9.1 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 9.9 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 11.2 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 8.7 ft, on Sunday.
Predictions for Brant Rock come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here in 1990 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Duxbury, 3 mi away.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
