About the tides at Cohasset Harbor (White Head)
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.8 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Boston, Boston Harbor. With a mean range of about 8.2 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most Massachusetts stations on this site. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 10.9 ft on December 25 and bottom out at −1.6 ft on January 23.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Boston, Boston Harbor, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Nantasket Beach, 4 mi away. For tidal currents, see Minots Ledge Light, 3.3 miles north of.
Predictions are based on Boston, Boston Harbor.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
