About the tides at Bull Creek entrance

Bull Creek entrance has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at CHARLESTON (Customhouse Wharf). On a typical day the water moves about 2.2 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most South Carolina stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 3.0 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 2.4 ft, on Sunday.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at CHARLESTON (Customhouse Wharf), with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. NOAA measured the tide here in 1982 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Little Bull Creek entrance, 1 mi away, where high tide comes about 23 min later.

Predictions are based on CHARLESTON (Customhouse Wharf).
