About the tides at Savage I.
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.9 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. With a mean range of about 7.3 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 9.9 ft, comes on October 27, and the smallest, 5.7 ft, on Monday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 9.8 ft on October 27 and bottom out at −1.8 ft on January 23.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Bull Creek, 1 mi away, where high tide comes about 18 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Haig Point Light, NW of, Cooper River.
Predictions are based on Fort Pulaski, Savannah River.
