About the tides at Cape San Blas

Cape San Blas has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. Water here rises and falls only about 1.5 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.7 ft, comes on Thursday, and the smallest, 0.6 ft, on October 22. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 2.4 ft on October 28 and bottom out at −1.0 ft on January 20.

Predictions for Cape San Blas come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here in 2022 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Port Saint Joe, 6 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 15 m later.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
