About the tides at Cliffs Wharf

Cliffs Wharf has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Baltimore, Fort McHenry. The mean range is small, about 1.4 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 2.2 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 0.9 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 2.9 ft on July 4, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 22.
