About the tides at Eagle Creek
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Eagle Creek, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. The range is large, about 6.9 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 25, with a range of 8.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 5.2 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 9.3 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −1.9 ft on January 23.
Eagle Creek is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Fort Pulaski, Savannah River: highs come about 21 min and lows about 19 min later than there. The nearest other station is Dog Hammock, 2 mi away, where high tide comes about 12 min later. For tidal currents, see New Teakettle Cr., 0.8 mi. N of.
Predictions are based on Fort Pulaski, Savannah River.
