About the tides at Elkhorn Slough

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.0 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Monterey, Monterey Harbor. The average range is about 3.5 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.3 ft. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 5.4 ft. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 1.0 ft.
