About the tides at Farmdale

Farmdale usually gets one high and one low tide a day, known as a diurnal tide. The pattern follows the reference station at Pensacola, Pensacola Bay. The mean range is small, about 1.3 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 1.6 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 30, with a range of 2.4 ft. Neap tides follow on Thursday, when the range shrinks to 0.4 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 2.3 ft on October 3, and the lowest is −1.1 ft on January 21.
