About the tides at Georgiana Slough entrance
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The average range is about 2.4 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most California stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 3.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 2.4 ft.
Georgiana Slough entrance is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Korths Harbor, 2 mi away, where high tide comes about 20 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Sacramento River Light 14.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
