About the tides at Gros-Cacouna

Gros-Cacouna has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The tide range here is very large, about 3.07 m on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most Quebec stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 4.32 m. Neap tides follow on Tuesday, when the range shrinks to 2.39 m.

This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. It was established in 1982. The nearest other station is Rivière-du-Loup, 10.0 km away, where high tide comes about 9 min later. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
