About the tides at Hillsboro Inlet
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Coast Guard Light Station, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The average range is about 2.4 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 3.3 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 2.4 ft.
Hillsboro Inlet is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Hillsboro Inlet (ocean), 0.2 mi away, where high tide comes about 7 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Fort Lauderdale, New River.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
