About the tides at Hobcaw Point

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Hobcaw Point, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at CHARLESTON (Customhouse Wharf). With a mean range of about 5.4 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.9 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.6 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 5.7 ft, on Sunday.
