About the tides at Hollywood Beach

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at West Lake, north end, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The mean range is small, about 1.8 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 2.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 1.8 ft.

Hollywood Beach is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Hollywood Beach, West Lake, south end, 0.7 mi away, where high tide comes about 6 min earlier. For tidal currents, see South Port, at the terminals.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
