About the tides at Home

Home has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Seattle, Puget Sound. The range is large, about 9.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most Washington stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Tuesday, with a range of 14.2 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 10.0 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 15.6 ft on January 25, and the lowest is −4.1 ft on December 24.

Home is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Seattle, Puget Sound: highs come about 37 min and lows about 45 min later than there.
