About the tides at Ilwaco

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.2 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Astoria, Tongue Point, Columbia River. The range is large, about 5.8 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 10.5 ft. Neap tides follow on October 31, when the range shrinks to 4.4 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 9.8 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −2.1 ft on July 5.
