About the tides at Isle of Springs
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Isle of Springs & Powderhorn Is, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Portland, casco Bay. The range is large, about 8.6 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 11.4 ft on December 25, and the lowest is −1.8 ft on January 23.
Isle of Springs is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Portland, casco Bay: highs come about 2 min and lows about 4 min earlier than there. The nearest other station is Southport, 2 mi away. For tidal currents, see Lowe Point, NE of, Sasanoa River.
Predictions are based on Portland, casco Bay.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
