About the tides at Keysfield

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.2 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Charleston, Cooper River Entrance. The mean range is small, about 0.9 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most South Carolina stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 28, with a range of 2.0 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 0.1 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.9 ft on September 30, and the lowest is −1.3 ft on January 23.
