About the tides at Kitsilano

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The range is large, about 2.05 m on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 29, with a range of 4.47 m. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 1.48 m.

Kitsilano is a CHS station with a live water level gauge. Predictions come from the station's own tidal analysis. It was established in 2017. The nearest other station is False Creek, 1.5 km away, where high tide comes about 14 min later. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
