About the tides at La Qunita Channel North

Most days here have a single high and a single low. Around neap tides the pattern can blur into small double tides. Water here rises and falls only about 0.7 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Texas stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 0.9 ft, comes on Saturday, and the smallest, 0.4 ft, on October 9.

A live NOAA gauge measures the water here, and predictions are calculated from this station's own records. It also reports water temperature, wind and air pressure. It was established in 2020. The nearest other station is Portland, 4 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 12 m later. For tidal currents, see Enbridge.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
