About the tides at Texas State Aquarium
Tides at Uss Lexington, Corpus Christi are mostly diurnal: one rise and one fall a day, with a slow change between them. The mean range is small, about 0.6 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Texas stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.3 ft on October 30, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 21.
Uss Lexington, Corpus Christi is a NOAA water level station with a live gauge, updated every 6 minutes. Predictions come from the station's own tide records. It also reports water temperature and air pressure. It was established in 2004. The nearest other station is Portland, 5 mi away, where high tide comes about 19 min later. For tidal currents, see Enbridge.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
