About the tides at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station
Most days here have a single high and a single low. Around neap tides the pattern can blur into small double tides. The mean range is small, about 0.6 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Texas stations on this site. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 0.9 ft. Neap tides follow on October 7, when the range shrinks to 0.0 ft.
This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here from 2003 to 2004 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Packery Channel, 6 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 4 m later. For tidal currents, see Enbridge.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
