About the tides at Riverside

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Md., each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Washington, Potomac River. The mean range is small, about 1.2 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 1.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 0.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.7 ft on June 5, and the lowest is −0.4 ft on January 24.
