About the tides at Mahon River entrance

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. With a mean range of about 5.3 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.9 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.5 ft, comes on Saturday, and the smallest, 4.2 ft, on October 19. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 7.0 ft on August 2 and bottom out at −1.0 ft on January 24.
