About the tides at Middletown
Middletown has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The average range is about 2.2 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Connecticut stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.5 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 2.7 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 2.2 ft.
