About the tides at Nakat Harbor

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Dixon Ent., each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Ketchikan, Tongass Narrows. Nakat Harbor sees a mean range of about 11.9 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 18.1 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −3.9 ft on July 5.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Ketchikan, Tongass Narrows, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
