About the tides at Kah Shakes Cove

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Kah Shakes Cove, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Ketchikan. Kah Shakes Cove sees a mean range of about 12.4 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 18.5 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 9.7 ft, on Friday.
